Be it far from you to do things like that, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be like the wicked. May that be far from you. Shouldn't the Judge of all the earth do right?*


I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Tzeru'yah are too hard for me. May the LORD reward the evil-doer according to his wickedness.*


Behold, I will bring evil on you, and will utterly sweep you away and will cut off from Ach'av every boy, and him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Yisra'el:


then hear from heaven, and do, and judge your servants, bringing retribution to the wicked, to bring his way on his own head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.


If I am wicked, woe to me. If I am righteous, I still shall not lift up my head, being filled with disgrace, and conscious of my affliction.


Give them according to their work, and according to the wickedness of their doings. Give them according to the operation of their hands. Bring back on them what they deserve.


Also to you, Lord, belongs loving kindness, for you reward every man according to his work.


Therefore they will eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own schemes.


Behold, the righteous shall be repaid in the earth; how much more the wicked and the sinner!


A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth. The work of a man's hands shall be rewarded to him.


Whoever digs a pit shall fall into it. Whoever rolls a stone, it will come back on him.


But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he lengthen days like a shadow; because he doesn't fear God.


I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will humble the haughtiness of the terrible.


There is no shalom, says the LORD, to the wicked.


There shall be no more there an infant of days, nor an old man who has not filled his days; for the child shall die one hundred years old, and the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.


Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, yes, I will recompense into their bosom,


your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, says the LORD, who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed me on the hills; therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom.


I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, says the LORD; and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is round about her.


But everyone shall die for his own iniquity: every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge.


For thus says the Lord GOD: I will also deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.


The soul who sins, he shall die: the son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.


He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.


I, the LORD, have spoken it: it shall happen, and I will do it: I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to your ways, and according to your doings, shall they judge you, says the Lord GOD.


When I tell the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you don't speak to warn the wicked from his way; that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand.


Then they will cry to the LORD, but he will not answer them. Yes, he will hide his face from them at that time, because they made their deeds evil.*


Yet the land will be desolate because of those who dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.


But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the LORD; and be sure your sin will find you out.


For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Messiah; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.


For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.


and all the wickedness of the men of Shekhem did God requite on their heads: and on them came the curse of Yotam the son of Yerubba`al.
