Now the rest of the acts of Chizkiyahu, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Yehudah?


Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war [fled] by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden (now the Kasdim were against the city round about); and [the king] went by the way of the `Aravah.


but I have chosen Yerushalayim, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Yisra'el.


After him repaired Nechemyah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beit-Tzur, to the place over against the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men.


In that day, people will look to their Maker, and their eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Yisra'el.


You numbered the houses of Yerushalayim, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.


Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they don't look to the Holy One of Yisra'el, and they don't seek the LORD!


Have you not heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it in ancient times? Now I have brought it to pass, that it should be yours to destroy fortified cities, turning them into ruinous heaps.


Then the LORD said to Yeshaiyahu, *Go out now to meet Achaz, you, and She'ar-Yashuv your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller's field.


I will wait for the LORD, who hides his face from the house of Ya`akov, and I will look for him.


It happened that, when Tzidkiyahu the king of Yehudah and all the men of war saw them, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the `Aravah.


But as for me, I will look to the LORD. I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
