He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Chovah, which is on the left hand of Damascus.


Avram said, *Lord GOD, what will you give me, seeing I go childless, and he who will inherit my estate is Eli`ezer of Damascus?*


He gathered men to him, and became captain over a troop, when David killed them [of Tzovah]: and they went to Damascus, and lived therein, and reigned in Damascus.


The king of Ashur listened to him; and the king of Ashur went up against Damascus, and took it, and carried [the people of] it captive to Kir, and killed Retzin.

An oracle. The word of the LORD is against the land of Chadrakh, and will rest upon Damascus; for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Yisra'el is toward the LORD;


and asked for letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Yerushalayim.


You shall gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street of it, and shall burn with fire the city, and all the spoil of it every whit, to the LORD your God: and it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.
