You shall speak to him, saying, Thus says the LORD, Have you killed and also taken possession? You shall speak to him, saying, Thus says the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Navot shall dogs lick your blood, even yours.


Him who dies of Ach'av in the city the dogs shall eat; and him who dies in the field shall the birds of the sky eat.


Then said [Yehu] to Bidgar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Navot the Yizre`eli; for remember how that, when I and you rode together after Ach'av his father, the LORD laid this burden on him:


Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.


All the kings of the nations, sleep in glory, everyone in his own house.


Their slain will also be cast out, and the stench of their dead bodies will come up; and the mountains will melt in their blood.


Therefore the LORD's anger burns against his people, and he has stretched out his hand against them, and has struck them. The mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is still stretched out.


Both great and small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them;


He shall be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast forth beyond the gates of Yerushalayim.


It was so, when they came into the midst of the city, that Yishma'el the son of Netanyah killed them, [and cast them] into the midst of the pit, he, and the men who were with him.


Now the pit in which Yishma'el cast all the dead bodies of the men whom he had killed, by the side of Gedalyahu (the same was who which Asa the king had made for fear of Ba`sha king of Yisra'el), Yishma'el the son of Netanyah filled it with those who were killed.
