Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.


Behold, the righteous shall be repaid in the earth; how much more the wicked and the sinner!


The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.


but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.


Prepare for slaughter of his children because of the iniquity of their fathers, that they not rise up and possess the earth, and fill the surface of the world with cities.


The LORD has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers,


The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.


For there will be a day of the LORD of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:


The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.


The LORD of Armies revealed himself in my ears, *Surely this iniquity will not be forgiven you until you die,* says the Lord, the LORD of Armies.


The LORD of Armies has planned it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.


It shall happen in that day that the LORD will punish the army of the high ones on high, and the kings of the earth on the earth.


Therefore a strong people will glorify you. A city of awesome nations will fear you.


As the heat in a dry place will you bring down the noise of strangers; as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the dreaded ones will be brought low.


For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity. The earth also will disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.


For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off--


But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.


Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them; for the deeds of his hands will be paid back to him.


So man is brought low, mankind is humbled, and the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;


your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, says the LORD, who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed me on the hills; therefore will I first measure their work into their bosom.


We have heard of the pride of Mo'av, [that] he is very proud; his loftiness, and his pride, and his arrogance, and the haughtiness of his heart.


At the end of the days I, Nevukhadnetzar 1, lifted up my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me, and I blessed the Elyon, and I praised and honored him who lives forever; for his dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom from generation to generation.


Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
