So that he forsook the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;


Your princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves. Everyone loves bribes, and follows after rewards. They don't judge the fatherless, neither does the cause of the widow come to them.


What has my beloved to do in my house, seeing she has worked lewdness [with] many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? when you do evil, then you rejoice.


My heritage is become to me as a lion in the forest: she has uttered her voice against me; therefore I have hated her.


Then said the LORD to me, Though Moshe and Shemu'el stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.


I saw, when, for this very cause that backsliding Yisra'el had committed adultery, I had put her away and given her a bill of divorce, yet treacherous Yehudah, her sister, didn't fear; but she also went and played the prostitute.


I will get me to the great men, and will speak to them; for they know the way of the LORD, and the law of their God. But these with one accord have broken the yoke, and burst the bonds.


Her princes in the midst of it are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, [and] to destroy souls, that they may get dishonest gain.


So she uncovered her prostitution, and uncovered her nakedness: then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.


She conceived again, and bore a daughter. Then he said to him, *Call her name Lo-Ruhamah; for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Yisra'el, that I should in any way pardon them.


He said, *Call his name Lo-Ammi; for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.


If Gil`ad is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.


The LORD also has a controversy with Yehudah, and will punish Ya`akov according to his ways; according to his deeds he will repay him.


For the children of Yisra'el shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without sacred stone, and without efod or idols.


*Though you, Yisra'el, play the prostitute, yet don't let Yehudah offend; and don't come to Gilgal, neither go up to Beit-Aven, nor swear, 'As the LORD lives.'


It will be, like people, like Kohen; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds.


They don't consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds have engulfed them. They are before my face.


My God will cast them away, because they did not listen to him; and they will be wanderers among the nations.


They won't dwell in the LORD's land; but Efrayim will return to Egypt, and they will eat unclean food in Ashur.


I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.


*Go to Beit-El, and sin; to Gilgal, and sin more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three days,


Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus,* says the LORD, whose name is the God Tzeva'ot.


but don't seek Beit-El, nor enter into Gilgal, and don't pass to Be'er-Sheva: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beit-El shall come to nothing.


Her leaders judge for bribes, and her Kohanim teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money: yet they lean on the LORD, and say, *Isn't the LORD in the midst of us? No disaster will come on us.*


My people, remember now what Balak king of Mo'av devised, and what Bil`am the son of Be'or answered him from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the LORD.*


Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions. Her judges are evening wolves. They leave nothing until the next day.


I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.


*For truly, in this city against your holy servant, Yeshua, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Yisra'el, were gathered together


When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak, and taught. But the Kohen Gadol came, and those who were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Yisra'el, and sent to the prison to have them brought.


Yehoshua returned, and all Yisra'el with him, to the camp to Gilgal.


He went from year to year in circuit to Beit-El and Gilgal, and Mitzpah; and he judged Yisra'el in all those places.
