Eliyahu came near to all the people, and said, *How long will you waver between the two sides? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Ba`al, then follow him.* The people answered him not a word.


You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor follow their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them and demolish their pillars.


Wicked people earn deceitful wages, but one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.


They don't know, neither do they consider: for he has shut their eyes, that they can't see; and their hearts, that they can't understand.


He shall also break the pillars of Beit-Shemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of Egypt shall he burn with fire.


that I may take the house of Yisra'el in their own heart, because they are all estranged from me through their idols.


If Gil`ad is wicked, surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls. Indeed, their altars are like heaps in the furrows of the field.

For the children of Yisra'el shall abide many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without sacred stone, and without efod or idols.

I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars out of your midst; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.

It will come to pass in that day, says the LORD of Armies, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will no more be remembered; and also I will cause the prophets and the spirit of impurity to pass out of the land.
