Yitzchak was forty years old when he took Rivka, the daughter of Betu'el the Syrian of Paddan-Aram 1, the sister of Lavan the Syrian, to be his wife.


Yitzchak trembled violently, and said, *Who, then, is he who has taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before you came, and have blessed him? Yes, he will be blessed.*


Yitzchak called Ya`akov, blessed him, and commanded him, *You shall not take a wife of the daughters of Kena`an.


and that Ya`akov obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Paddan-Aram 1.
