For your servant vowed a vow while I abode at Geshur in Syria, saying, If the LORD shall indeed bring me again to Yerushalayim, then I will serve the LORD.


Mefivoshet the son of Sha'ul came down to meet the king; and he had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came home in shalom.


Mefivoshet said to the king, yes, let him take all, because my lord the king is come in shalom to his own house.


Na`aman said, If not, yet, please let there be given to your servant two mules' burden of earth; for your servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to the LORD.


Ya`betz called on the God of Yisra'el, saying, Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that it not be to my sorrow! God granted him that which he requested.


The LORD is my strength and song. He has become my yeshu`ah. This is my God, and I will praise him; my father's God, and I will exalt him.


You have declared the LORD this day to be your God, and that you would walk in his ways, and keep his statutes, and his mitzvot, and his ordinances, and listen to his voice:


then it shall be, that whatever comes forth from the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in shalom from the children of `Ammon, it shall be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.
