He didn't recognize him, because his hands were hairy, like his brother, Esav's hands. So he blessed him.


He said, *Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless you.* He brought it near to him, and he ate. He brought him wine, and he drank.


The king said to her, What ails you? She answered, Of a truth I am a widow, and my husband is dead.


He said to him, I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water. [But] he lied to him.


For your iniquity teaches your mouth, and you choose the language of the crafty.


Truth's lips will be established forever, but a lying tongue is only momentary.


Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who do the truth are his delight.


Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me;


These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and shalom in your gates,


Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.


Don't lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,
