The boys grew. Esav was a skillful hunter, a man of the field. Ya`akov was a quiet man, living in tents.


He said, *Isn't he rightly named Ya`akov? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright. See, now he has taken away my blessing.* He said, *Haven't you reserved a blessing for me?*


until your brother's anger turn away from you, and he forgets what you have done to him. Then I will send, and get you from there. Why should I be bereaved of you both in one day?*


He said, *Kena`an is cursed. He will be servant of servants to his brothers.*


With him is strength and wisdom. The deceived and the deceiver are his.


Cursed be he who does the work of the LORD negligently; and cursed be he who keeps back his sword from blood.


*But the deceiver is cursed, who has in his flock a male, and vows, and sacrifices to the Lord a blemished thing; for I am a great King,* says the LORD of Armies, *and my name is awesome among the nations.*


by glory and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true;


Cursed be he who makes the blind to wander out of the way. All the people shall say, Amein.
