He left from there to the mountain on the east of Beit-El, and pitched his tent, having Beit-El on the west, and `Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the LORD and called on the name of the LORD.


So they made a covenant at Be'er-Sheva. Avimelekh rose up with Pikhol, the captain of his army, and they returned into the land of the Pelishtim.


He went up from there to Be'er-Sheva.


He built an altar there, and called on the name of the LORD, and pitched his tent there. There Yitzchak's servants dug a well.


He called it Shibah. Therefore the name of the city is Be'er-Sheva to this day.


There was also born a son to Shet, and he named him Enosh. Then men began to call on the LORD's name.


Before the mountains were brought forth, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.


Your throne is established from long ago. You are from everlasting.


The LORD shall reign forever and ever.*


Haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, doesn't faint. He isn't weary. His understanding is unsearchable.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse.
