and found his heart faithful before you, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Kena`ani, the Chittite, the Amori, and the Perizzi, and the Yevusi, and the Girgashi, to give it to his seed, and have performed your words; for you are righteous.


That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.


He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.


Is this blessing then pronounced on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Avraham for righteousness.


namely, that God was in Messiah reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.


By faith, Avraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.


and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, *Avraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness;* and he was called the friend of God.
