The man of God said to the king, If you will give me half your house, I will not go in with you, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place;


But he said, As the LORD lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. He urged him to take it; but he refused.


But Gechazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared this Na`aman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: as the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.


He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I'm not worthy to loosen.*
