¹⁴ The Jewish elders built and prospered, through the prophesying of Chaggai the prophet and Zekharyah the son of `Iddo. They built and finished it, according to the mitzvah of the God of Yisra'el, and according to the decree of Koresh, and Daryavesh, and Artachshasta king of Paras.

Haggai 1:8

Go up to the mountain, bring wood, and build the house. I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified,* says the LORD.

In the eighth month, in the second year of Daryavesh, the word of the LORD came to Zekharyah the son of Berekhyah, the son of `Iddo, the prophet, saying,

*The hands of Zerubbavel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that the LORD of Armies has sent me to you.

Thus says the LORD of Armies: *Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of the LORD of Armies was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.
