All the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes, all these he brought to Bavel.


Nevukhadnetzar 1 also carried of the vessels of the house of the LORD to Bavel, and put them in his temple at Bavel.


and he said to him, Take these vessels, go, put them in the temple that is in Yerushalayim, and let the house of God be built in its place.


Then came the same Sheshbatzer, and laid the foundations of the house of God which is in Yerushalayim: and since that time even until now has it been in building, and yet it is not completed.


Also let the gold and silver vessels of the house of God, which Nevukhadnetzar 1 took forth out of the temple which is at Yerushalayim, and brought to Bavel, be restored, and brought again to the temple which is at Yerushalayim, everyone to its place; and you shall put them in the house of God.


Blessed be the LORD, the God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Yerushalayim;


The king's heart is in the LORD's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.


The cups, and the fire pans, and the basins, and the pots, and the menorot, and the spoons, and the bowls--that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver,--the captain of the guard took away.


In the second year of Daryavesh the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the Word of the LORD came by Chaggai, the prophet, to Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, governor of Yehudah, and to Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, saying,


The LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, governor of Yehudah, and the spirit of Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of Armies, their God,


*Speak now to Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, governor of Yehudah, and to Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, and to the remnant of the people, saying,


*Speak to Zerubbavel, governor of Yehudah, saying, 'I will shake the heavens and the earth.


Then the proconsul, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.
