The LORD appeared to Avram and said, *I will give this land to your seed.* He built an altar there to the LORD, who appeared to him.


But as for Moshe the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.


The sons of Yekhonyah, the captive: She'alti'el his son,


The sons of Pedayahu: Zerubbavel, and Shim`i. The sons of Zerubbavel: Meshullam, and Chananyah; and Shelomit was their sister;


but I have chosen Yerushalayim, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Yisra'el.


Among the sons of the Kohanim there were found who had married foreign women: [namely], of the sons of Yeshua, the son of Yotzadak, and his brothers, Ma`aseyah, and Eli`ezer, and Yariv, and Gedalyahu.


Of the sons of Immer: Chanani and Zevadyah.


Of the sons of Charim: Ma`aseyah, and Eliyahu, and Shemayah, and Yechi'el, and `Uzziyah.


Of the sons of Pashchur: Elyo`enai, Ma`aseyah, Yishma'el, Netan'el 1, Yozavad, and El`asah.


who came with Zerubbavel, Yeshua, Nechemyah, Serayah, Re`elayah, Mordekhai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rechum, Ba`anah. The number of the men of the people of Yisra'el:


Now in the second year of their coming to the house of God at Yerushalayim, in the second month, began Zerubbavel the son of She'alti'el, and Yeshua the son of Yotzadak, and the rest of their brothers the Kohanim and the Levites, and all those who were come out of the captivity to Yerushalayim, and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to have the oversight of the work of the house of the LORD.


Then rose up Zerubbavel the son of She'alti'el, and Yeshua the son of Yotzadak, and began to build the house of God which is at Yerushalayim; and with them were the prophets of God, helping them.


Now these are the Kohanim and the Levites who went up with Zerubbavel the son of She'alti'el, and Yeshua: Serayah, Yirmeyahu, Ezra,


Moreover the Levites: Yeshua, Binnui, Kadmi'el, Sherevyah, Yehudah, [and] Mattanyah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brothers.


But chose the tribe of Yehudah, Mount Tziyon which he loved.


*You shall make the altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and its height shall be three cubits.


In the second year of Daryavesh the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, the Word of the LORD came by Chaggai, the prophet, to Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, governor of Yehudah, and to Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, saying,


Then Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, and Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD, their God, and the words of Chaggai, the prophet, as the LORD, their God, had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.


The LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, governor of Yehudah, and the spirit of Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked on the house of the LORD of Armies, their God,


*Speak to Zerubbavel, governor of Yehudah, saying, 'I will shake the heavens and the earth.


In that day, says the LORD of Armies, will I take you, Zerubbavel, my servant, the son of She'alti'el,' says the LORD, 'and will make you as a signet, for I have chosen you,' says the LORD of Armies.*


He showed me Yehoshua the Kohen Gadol standing before the angel of the LORD, and Hasatan standing at his right hand to be his adversary.


Hear now, Yehoshua the Kohen Gadol, you and your fellows who sit before you; for they are men who are a sign: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant, the Branch.


Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Yehoshua the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol;


Command the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, My offering, my food for my offerings made by fire, of a sweet savor to me, shall you observe to offer to me in their due season.


the son of Yochanan, the son of Reisha, the son of Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, the son of Neri,


Then Gid`on built an altar there to the LORD, and called it the LORD is Shalom: to this day it is still in Ofrat of the Abiezrites.
