The LORD said, *As my servant Yeshaiyahu has walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and a wonder concerning Egypt and concerning Kush,


It happened that your choicest valleys were full of chariots, and the horsemen set themselves in array at the gate.


Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and for wonders in Yisra'el from the LORD of Armies, who dwells in Mount Tziyon.


It happened when Yerushalayim was taken, (in the ninth year of Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, in the tenth month, came Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel and all his army against Yerushalayim, and besieged it;


in the eleventh year of Tzidkiyahu, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city),


Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.


In their sight shall you bear it on your shoulder, and carry it forth in the dark; you shall cover your face, that you don't see the land: for I have set you for a sign to the house of Yisra'el.


A third part shall you burn in the fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled; and you shall take a third part, and strike with the sword round about it; and a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will draw out a sword after them.
