Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?


God who is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who has hardened himself against him, and prospered?


but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;


Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.


Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.


The LORD, your hand is lifted up, yet they don't see; but they will see your zeal for the people, and be disappointed. Yes, fire will consume your adversaries.


Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore will I put my hook in your nose and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came.


Woe to him who strives with his Maker--a potsherd among the potsherds of the earth! Shall the clay ask him who fashions it, *What are you making?* or your work, *He has no hands?*


therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have set your heart as the heart of God,


But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:


Immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he didn't give God the glory, and he was eaten by worms and died.


Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
