It happened in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all of Egypt's magicians and wise men. Par`oh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them to Par`oh.


For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aharon's rod swallowed up their rods.


The magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their enchantments; and Par`oh's heart was hardened, and he didn't listen to them; as the LORD had spoken.


The magicians tried with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they couldn't. There were lice on man, and on animal.


and the river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bedchamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading troughs:


The magicians did in like manner with their enchantments, and brought up frogs on the land of Egypt.


Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the enchanters, and the sorcerers, and the Kasdim, to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.


Daniyel answered before the king, and said, The secret which the king has demanded can neither wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor soothsayers, show to the king;


Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Bavel before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.

The king cried aloud to bring in the enchanters, the Kasdim, and the soothsayers. For there will arise false messiahs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.
