*This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.


It is a night to be much observed to the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt. This is that night of the LORD, to be much observed of all the children of Yisra'el throughout their generations.


Moshe said to the people, *Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.


This day you go forth in the month Aviv.


*You shall observe a feast to me three times a year.


You shall observe the feast of matzah. Seven days you shall eat matzah, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Aviv (for in it you came out from Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty.


On the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of matzah to the LORD. Seven days you shall eat matzah.


In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, is the LORD's Pesach.


On the fifteenth day of this month shall be a feast: seven days shall matzah be eaten.


It was now two days before the feast of the Pesach and the matzah, and the chief Kohanim and the scribes sought how they might seize him by deception, and kill him.


Now the feast of matzah, which is called the Pesach, drew near.


When he saw that it pleased the Judeans, he proceeded to seize Kefa also. This was during the days of matzah.
