It is like the precious oil on the head, that ran down on the beard, even Aharon's beard; that came down on the edge of his robes;


*This is the thing that you shall do to them to make them holy, to minister to me in the Kohen's office: take one young bull and two rams without blemish,


Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood, and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aharon, and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood on the altar round about.


Also you shall take some of the ram's fat, the fat tail, the fat that covers the innards, the cover of the liver, the two kidneys, the fat that is on them, and the right thigh (for it is a ram of consecration),


Then you shall take the anointing oil, and pour it on his head, and anoint him.


The rest of the oil that is in the Kohen's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the LORD.


This is the anointing portion of Aharon, and the anointing portion of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister to the LORD in the Kohen's office;


He killed it; and Moshe took some of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aharon's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.


Moshe took some of the anointing oil, and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aharon, on his garments, and on his sons, and on his sons' garments with him, and sanctified Aharon, his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.


For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.


How much worse punishment, do you think, will he be judged worthy of, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?


According to the Torah, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
