God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. There was evening and there was morning, one day.


God called the expanse sky. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.


and they burn to the LORD every morning and every evening burnt offerings and sweet incense: the show bread also [set they] in order on the pure table; and the menorah of gold with the lamps of it, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but you have forsaken him.


This day shall be to you for a memorial, and you shall keep it a feast to the LORD: throughout your generations you shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.


As the LORD commanded Moshe, so Aharon laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.


You shall put the testimony which I shall give you into the teivah.


They shall be on Aharon, and on his sons, when they go in to the tent of meeting, or when they come near to the altar to minister in the holy place; that they don't bear iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute forever to him and to his descendants after him.


and it shall be for Aharon and his sons as their portion forever from the children of Yisra'el; for it is a wave offering: and it shall be a wave offering from the children of Yisra'el of the sacrifices of their shalom offerings, even their wave offering to the LORD.

*Command the children of Yisra'el, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.


Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aharon keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.


It shall be for Aharon and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.*


*'It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that you shall eat neither fat nor blood.'*


and he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it before the tent of meeting: and Aharon's sons shall sprinkle its blood on the altar round about.


He shall take from there his handful of the fine flour of the meal offering, and of its oil, and all the frankincense which is on the meal offering, and shall burn it on the altar for a sweet savor, as its memorial, to the LORD.


which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Yisra'el, in the day that he anointed them. It is their portion forever throughout their generations.


For the Kohen's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth; for he is the messenger of the LORD of Armies.


But the Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations; and among the children of Yisra'el they shall have no inheritance.

the people who sat in darkness saw a great light, to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, to them light has dawned.*


*Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning.


He was the burning and shining lamp, and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light.


seeing it is God who said, *Light will shine out of darkness,* who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Yeshua the Messiah.


We have the more sure word of prophecy; and you do well that you heed it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts:


*To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write: *He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden menorot says these things:


and the lamp of God hadn't yet gone out, and Shemu'el had laid down [to sleep], in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was;


It was so from that day forward, that he made it a statute and an ordinance for Yisra'el to this day.
