15 You shall observe the feast of matzah. Seven days you shall eat matzah, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Aviv (for in it you came out from Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty.

*This month shall be to you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year to you.


Moshe said to the people, *Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.


This day you go forth in the month Aviv.


*You shall not delay to offer from your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. *You shall give the firstborn of your sons to me.


*You shall keep the feast of matzah. Seven days you shall eat matzah, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Aviv; for in the month Aviv you came out from Egypt.


The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.


*Speak to the children of Yisra'el, and tell them, 'When you have come into the land which I give to you, and shall reap its the harvest, then you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the Kohen:


How shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old?


On the first day of matzah, when they sacrificed the Pesach, his talmidim asked him, *Where do you want us to go and make ready that you may eat the Pesach?*


His parents went every year to Yerushalayim at the feast of the Pesach.


The day of matzah came, on which the Pesach must be sacrificed.


When he saw that it pleased the Judeans, he proceeded to seize Kefa also. This was during the days of matzah.


Three times in a year shall all your males appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of matzah, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of booths; and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:


They said, *If you send away the ark of the God of Yisra'el, don't send it empty; but by all means return him a trespass offering: then you shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.*
