He isn't greater in this house than I, neither has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?*


When the mourning was past, David sent and took her home to his house, and she became his wife, and bore him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the LORD.


*'You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, and defile yourself with her.


*'The man who commits adultery with another man's wife, even he who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.


Did he not make one, although he had the residue of the Spirit? Why one? He sought a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.


I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the perjurers, and against those who oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and who deprive the foreigner of justice, and don't fear me,* says the LORD of Armies.


*Speak to the children of Yisra'el, and tell them: If any man's wife goes astray, and is unfaithful to him,


He said to him, *Which ones?* Yeshua said, *'You shall not murder.' 'You shall not commit adultery.' 'You shall not steal.' 'You shall not offer false testimony.'


For the mitzvot, *You shall not commit adultery,* *You shall not murder,* *You shall not steal,* *You shall not give false testimony,* *You shall not covet,* and whatever other mitzvot there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, *You shall love your neighbor as yourself.*


*Neither shall you commit adultery.


Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.


For he who said, *Do not commit adultery,* also said, *Do not commit murder.* Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.


You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.


But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.*
