When the queen of Sheva heard of the fame of Shlomo concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.


I was a father to the needy. The cause of him who I didn't know, I searched out.


Let them judge the people at all times. It shall be that every great matter they shall bring to you, but every small matter they shall judge themselves. So shall it be easier for you, and they shall share the load with you.


The son of the Yisra'eli woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moshe. His mother's name was Shelomit, the daughter of Divri, of the tribe of Dan.


You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike; you shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.


If there arise a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within your gates; then shall you arise, and go up to the place which the LORD your God shall choose;
