and a fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it.


The Egyptians were urgent with the people, to send them out of the land in haste, for they said, *We are all dead men.*


They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me, for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.*


The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth my hand on Egypt, and bring out the children of Yisra'el from among them.*


Then the magicians said to Par`oh, *This is the finger of God:* and Par`oh's heart was hardened, and he didn't listen to them; as the LORD had spoken.


An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad.


I find more bitter than death the woman whose heart is snares and traps, whose hands are chains. Whoever pleases God shall escape from her; but the sinner will be ensnared by her.


You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The seed of evil-doers will not be named forever.


Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of the LORD; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn't it you who did cut Rachav in pieces, who pierced the monster?
