However I didn't believe the words, until I came, and my eyes had seen it: and behold, the half was not told me; your wisdom and prosperity exceed the fame which I heard.


Shlomo's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east, and all the wisdom of Egypt.


My servants shall bring them down from Levanon to the sea; and I will make them into rafts to go by sea to the place that you shall appoint me, and will cause them to be broken up there, and you shall receive them; and you shall accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.


But Gechazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared this Na`aman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: as the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.

I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:


I said in my heart, *Come now, I will test you with mirth: therefore enjoy pleasure;* and behold, this also was vanity.

So I was great, and increased more than all who were before me in Yerushalayim. My wisdom also remained with me.


I said in my heart, *God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.*


who says, I will build me a wide house and spacious chambers, and cuts him out windows; and it is ceiling with cedar, and painted with vermilion.


The king spoke and said, Is not this great Bavel, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?


But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
