Now while Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there was gathered together to him out of Yisra'el a very great assembly of men and women and children; for the people wept very sore.


They brought what Moshe commanded before the Tent of Meeting: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.


Then Zerubbavel, the son of She'alti'el, and Yehoshua, the son of Yehotzadak, the Kohen Gadol, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD, their God, and the words of Chaggai, the prophet, as the LORD, their God, had sent him; and the people feared the LORD.


*You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me.


The secret things belong to the LORD our God; but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.


Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.


and that their children, who have not known, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Yarden to possess it.


the day that you stood before the LORD your God in Chorev, when the LORD said to me, Assemble me the people, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.

There was not a word of all that Moshe commanded, which Yehoshua didn't read before all the assembly of Yisra'el, and the women, and the little ones, and the foreigners who were among them.
