Lot lifted up his eyes, and saw all the plain of the Yarden, that it was well-watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sedom and `Amorah, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you go to Tzo`ar.


All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (the same is the Salt Sea).


He restored the border of Yisra'el from the entrance of Chamat to the sea of the `Aravah, according to the word of the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, which he spoke by his servant Yonah the son of Ammittai, the prophet, who was of Gat-Chefer.


Then said he to me, These waters issue forth toward the eastern region, and shall go down into the `Aravah; and they shall go toward the sea; into the sea [shall the waters go] which were made to issue forth; and the waters shall be healed.


He took him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered up a bull and a ram on every altar.


Now it happened, while the multitude pressed on him and heard the word of God, that he was standing by the lake of Ginosar.


and all the `Aravah beyond the Yarden eastward, even to the sea of the `Aravah, under the slopes of Pisgah.


and the `Aravah to the sea of Kinnarot, eastward, and to the sea of the `Aravah, even the Salt Sea, eastward, the way to Beit-Yeshimot; and on the south, under the slopes of Pisgah:


and in the valley, Beit-Haram, and Beit-Nimrah, and Sukkot, and Tzafon, the rest of the kingdom of Sichon king of Cheshbon, the Yarden and the border [of it], to the uttermost part of the sea of Kinneret beyond the Yarden eastward.


Their south border was from the uttermost part of the Salt Sea, from the bay that looks southward;


The east border was the Salt Sea, even to the end of the Yarden. The border of the north quarter was from the bay of the sea at the end of the Yarden;


and the border passed along to the side of Beit-Choglah northward; and the goings out of the border were at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Yarden: this was the south border.


The fortified cities were Tziddim, Tzer, and Chammat, Rakkat, and Kinneret,


that the waters which came down from above stood, and rose up in one heap, a great way off, at Adam, the city that is beside Tzaretan; and those that went down toward the sea of the `Aravah, even the Salt Sea, were wholly cut off: and the people passed over right against Yericho.
