They struck the men who were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, so that they wearied themselves to find the door.


It yields much increase to the kings whom you have set over us because of our sins: also they have power over our bodies, and over our livestock, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress.


They grope in the dark without light. He makes them stagger like a drunken man.


They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope at noonday as in the night.


The LORD said to Moshe, *Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.*


We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men.


For a voice of wailing is heard out of Tziyon, How are we ruined! we are greatly confounded, because we have forsaken the land, because they have cast down our dwellings.
