14 I have not eaten of it in my mourning, neither have I put away of it, being unclean, nor given of it for the dead: I have listened to the voice of the LORD my God; I have done according to all that you have commanded me.

They joined themselves also to Ba`al-Pe`or, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.


For all his ordinances were before me. I didn't put away his statutes from me.


neither shall men break [bread] for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.


Sigh, but not aloud, make no mourning for the dead; bind your headdress on you, and put your shoes on your feet, and don't cover your lips, and don't eat men's bread.


They won't pour out wine offerings to the LORD, neither will they be pleasing to him. Their sacrifices will be to them like the bread of mourners; all who eat of it will be polluted; for their bread will be for their appetite. It will not come into the house of the LORD.


The LORD said to Moshe, *Speak to the Kohanim, the sons of Aharon, and say to them, 'A Kohen shall not defile himself for the dead among his people;


neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;


but the soul who eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of shalom offerings, that belongs to the LORD, having his uncleanness on him, that soul shall be cut off from his people.


This again you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, because he doesn't regard the offering any more, neither receives it with good will at your hand.


That prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to draw you aside out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. So shall you put away the evil from the midst of you.


if only you diligently listen to the voice of the LORD your God, to observe to do all this mitzvah which I command you this day.


and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates, and the foreigner, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are in the midst of you, in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.


You shall say before the LORD your God, I have put away the holy things out of my house, and also have given them to the Levite, and to the foreigner, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all your mitzvah which you have commanded me: I have not transgressed any of your mitzvot, neither have I forgotten them:


Look down from your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless your people Yisra'el, and the ground which you have given us, as you swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
