I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemot to Sichon king of Cheshbon with words of shalom, saying,


You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only let me pass through on my feet,


You shall purchase food of them for money, that you may eat; and you shall also buy water of them for money, that you may drink.


Yisra'el sent messengers to Sichon king of the Amori, the king of Cheshbon; and Yisra'el said to him, Let us pass, we pray you, through your land to my place.
