Sarai said to Avram, *This wrong is your fault. I gave my handmaid into your bosom, and when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes. The LORD judge between me and you.*


I am distressed for you, my brother Yonatan. You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.


and Eliyahu said to them, Take the prophets of Ba`al; don't let one of them escape. They took them; and Eliyahu brought them down to the brook Kishon, and killed them there.


All the people of the land went to the house of Ba`al, and broke it down; his altars and his images broke they in pieces thoroughly, and killed Mattan the Kohen of Ba`al before the altars. The Kohen appointed officers over the house of the LORD.


and that whoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.


All the people went to the house of Ba`al, and broke it down, and broke his altars and his images in pieces, and killed Mattan the Kohen of Ba`al before the altars.


and my heart has been secretly enticed, and my hand threw a kiss from my mouth,


Moshe said to the people, *Remember this day, in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.


He said to them, *Thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, 'Every man put his sword on his thigh, and go back and forth from gate to gate throughout the camp, and every man kill his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.'*


A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.


For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another?


Then said the prophet Yirmeyahu to Chananyah the prophet, Hear now, Chananyah: the LORD has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie.

This was because of the false brothers secretly brought in, who stole in to spy out our liberty which we have in Messiah Yeshua, that they might bring us into bondage;


that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;


You shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.


and the sign or the wonder come to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, Let us go after other gods, which you have not known, and let us serve them;


of the gods of the peoples who are round about you, near to you, or far off from you, from the one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;


The man who does presumptuously, in not listening to the Kohen who stands to minister there before the LORD your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die: and you shall put away the evil from Yisra'el.


But the prophet, who shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.


then shall you do to him, as he had thought to do to his brother: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you.


All the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you; and all Yisra'el shall hear, and fear.


then they shall bring out the young lady to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done folly in Yisra'el, to play the prostitute in her father's house: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you.


If a man be found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Yisra'el, and he deal with him as a slave, or sell him; then that thief shall die: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you.


The man who is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children whom he has remaining;


lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from the LORD our God, to go to serve the gods of those nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears gall and wormwood;


then your heart be lifted up, and you forget the LORD your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage;


Now this I say that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.


Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow: for thus says the LORD, the God of Yisra'el, There is a devoted thing in the midst of you, Yisra'el; you can not stand before your enemies, until you take away the devoted thing from among you.


But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.


The great dragon was thrown down, the old serpent, he who is called the devil and Hasatan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.


He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast; saying to those who dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.


and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years were finished. After this, he must be freed for a short time.


The children of Yisra'el again did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Ba`alim, and the `Ashtarot, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Tzidon, and the gods of Mo'av, and the gods of the children of `Ammon, and the gods of the Pelishtim; and they forsook the LORD, and didn't serve him.


They forsook the LORD, and served Ba`al and the `Ashtarot.


Now therefore deliver up the men, the base fellows, who are in Gevah, that we may put them to death, and put away evil from Yisra'el. But Binyamin would not listen to the voice of their brothers the children of Yisra'el.


They chose new gods. Then war was in the gates. Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Yisra'el?


It happened, when he had made an end of speaking to Sha'ul, that the soul of Yonatan was knit with the soul of David, and Yonatan loved him as his own soul.


Then Yonatan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.


Yonatan caused David to swear again, for the love that he had to him; for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
