if this people go up to offer sacrifices in the house of the LORD at Yerushalayim, then will the heart of this people turn again to their lord, even to Rechav`am king of Yehudah; and they will kill me, and return to Rechav`am king of Yehudah.


that your eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which you have said, My name shall be there; to listen to the prayer which your servant shall pray toward this place.


But if you tell me, We trust in the LORD our God; isn't that he whose high places and whose altars Chizkiyahu has taken away, and has said to Yehudah and to Yerushalayim, You shall worship before this altar in Yerushalayim?


Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of burnt offering for Yisra'el.


But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will come into your house. I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.


Sing praises to the LORD, who dwells in Tziyon, and declare among the people what he has done.


Whatever man there is of the house of Yisra'el, who kills an ox, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,


and hasn't brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to offer it as an offering to the LORD before the tabernacle of the LORD: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people.


namely, that God was in Messiah reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.


then it shall happen that to the place which the LORD your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there shall you bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to the LORD.


Take heed to yourself that you don't offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;


Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of the LORD your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.


but you shall eat them before the LORD your God in the place which the LORD your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God in all that you put your hand to.


But to the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation shall you seek, and there you shall come;


You shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place which he shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, the tithe of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock; that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.


You shall eat it before the LORD your God year by year in the place which the LORD shall choose, you and your household.


You shall sacrifice the Pesach to the LORD your God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which the LORD shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there.


If there arise a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within your gates; then shall you arise, and go up to the place which the LORD your God shall choose;


If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Yisra'el, where he lives as a foreigner, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which the LORD shall choose;


when all Yisra'el is come to appear before the LORD your God in the place which he shall choose, you shall read this law before all Yisra'el in their hearing.


Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.


Far be it from us that we should rebel against the LORD, and turn away this day from following the LORD, to build an altar for burnt offering, for meal offering, or for sacrifice, besides the altar of the LORD our God that is before his tent.


That day Yehoshua made those wood cutters and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, to this day, in the place which he should choose.
