He said, I have been very jealous for the LORD, the God Tzeva'ot; for the children of Yisra'el have forsaken your covenant, thrown down your altars, and slain your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.


Yet will I leave [me] seven thousand in Yisra'el, all the knees which have not bowed to Ba`al, and every mouth which has not kissed him.


Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.


The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.


Nevukhadnetzar 1 spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrakh, Meshakh, and `Aved-Nego, who has sent his angel, and delivered his servants who trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and have yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.


*'Don't turn to idols, nor make molten gods for yourselves. I am the LORD your God.

They overcame him because of the Lamb's blood, and because of the word of their testimony. They didn't love their life, even to death.
