For you are my lamp, LORD. The LORD will light up my darkness.


He lay down and slept under a juniper tree; and behold, an angel touched him, and said to him, Arise and eat.


The angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.


He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bonds in sunder.


LORD, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.


who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD frees the prisoners.


The angel of the LORD encamps round about those who fear him, and delivers them.


God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land.


This shall be the sign to you. You will eat this year that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from the same; and in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.


Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen on you.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bonds were loosened.


whom God raised up, having freed him from the agony of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.


But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and said,


As he traveled, it happened that he got close to Damascus, and suddenly a light from the sky shone around him.


Therefore he says, *Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.*


Aren't they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?


After these things, I saw another angel coming down out of the sky, having great authority. The earth was illuminated with his glory.
