David was displeased, because the LORD had broken forth on Uzzah; and he called that place Peretz-Uzzah, to this day.


The anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he struck him, because he put forth his hand to the ark; and there he died before God.


For because you didn't carry it at the first, the LORD our God made a breach on us, because we didn't seek him according to the ordinance.


Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them has the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister to him forever.


When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.


*When Aharon and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kehat shall come to carry it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. It happened about ten days after, that the LORD struck Naval, so that he died.


He struck of the men of Beit-Shemesh, because they had looked into the teivah of the LORD, he struck of the people fifty thousand seventy men; and the people mourned, because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter.
