So David and all the house of Yisra'el brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the shofar.


Then David returned to bless his household. Mikhal the daughter of Sha'ul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Yisra'el today, who uncovered himself today in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!


David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who bore the ark, and the singers, and Kananyah the master of the song [with] the singers: and David had on him an efod of linen.


Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing praises to him with tambourine and harp!


Praise him with tambourine and dancing! Praise him with stringed instruments and flute!


You have turned my mourning into dancing for me. You have removed my sackcloth, and clothed me with gladness,


Those who sing as well as those who dance say, *All my springs are in you.*


Miryam the prophetess, the sister of Aharon, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.


Miryam answered them, *Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously. The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.*


and you shall be to me a kingdom of Kohanim, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Yisra'el.*


Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in She'ol, where you are going.


The prince, when they go in, shall go in with of them; and when they go out, he shall go out.


*Now his elder son was in the field. As he came near to the house, he heard music and dancing.


and you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.


And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,


Yiftach came to Mitzpah to his house; and behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; besides her he had neither son nor daughter.

But Shemu'el ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen efod.

The king said to Do'eg, Turn you, and fall on the Kohanim. Do'eg the Edomite turned, and he fell on the Kohanim, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore a linen efod.
