For by you, I run against a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.


A wise man scales the city of the mighty, and brings down the strength of its confidence.


Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, [and] of the rock of the plain, says the LORD; you that say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?


For though you had struck the whole army of the Kasdim who fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yes would they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.


For this Malki-Tzedek, king of Shalem, Kohen of El `Elyon, who met Avraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,


Therefore Adoni-Tzedek king of Yerushalayim sent to Hoham king of Chevron, and to Pir'am king of Yarmut, and to Yafia king of Lakhish, and to Devir king of `Eglon, saying,


As for the Yevusi, the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, the children of Yehudah couldn't drive them out: but the Yevusi dwell with the children of Yehudah at Yerushalayim to this day.


and Tzelah, Elef, and the Yevusi (the same is Yerushalayim), Giv`at, [and] Kiryat; fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Binyamin according to their families.


The children of Binyamin did not drive out the Yevusi who inhabited Yerushalayim; but the Yevusi dwell with the children of Binyamin in Yerushalayim to this day.


The children of Yehudah fought against Yerushalayim, and took it, and struck it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.
