For you have armed me with strength for the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.


The king commanded, and they hewed out great stones, costly stones, to lay the foundation of the house with worked stone.


I will pursue my enemies, and overtake them. Neither will I turn again until they are consumed.


*For, behold, the day comes, it burns as a furnace; and all the proud, and all who work wickedness, will be stubble; and the day that comes will burn them up,* says the LORD of Armies, *that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.


You shall tread down the wicked; for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I make,* says the LORD of Armies.


It happened, when they brought forth those kings to Yehoshua, that Yehoshua called for all the men of Yisra'el, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings. They came near, and put their feet on the necks of them.
