Whereas you came but yesterday, should I this day make you go up and down with us, seeing I go where I may? return you, and take back your brothers; mercy and truth be with you.


David went and took the bones of Sha'ul and the bones of Yonatan his son from the men of Yavesh-Gil`ad, who had stolen them from the street of Beit-Shean, where the Pelishtim had hanged them, in the day that the Pelishtim killed Sha'ul in Gilboa;


Blessed are you by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.


The men said to her, Our life for yours, if you don't utter this our business; and it shall be, when the LORD gives us the land, that we will deal kindly and truly with you.


They said, What one is there of the tribes of Yisra'el who didn't come up to the LORD to Mitzpah? Behold, there came none to the camp from Yavesh-Gil`ad to the assembly.


Na`omi 1 said to her two daughters-in-law, Go, return each of you to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead, and with me.


Na`omi 1 said to her daughter-in-law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. Na`omi 1 said to her, The man is a close relative to us, one of our near kinsmen.


He said, Blessed are you by the LORD, my daughter: you have shown more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as you didn't follow young men, whether poor or rich.


Then Nachash the `Ammonite came up, and encamped against Yavesh-Gil`ad: and all the men of Yavesh said to Nachash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.


They said to the messengers who came, Thus shall you tell the men of Yavesh-Gil`ad, Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you shall have deliverance. The messengers came and told the men of Yavesh; and they were glad.


Shemu'el came to Sha'ul; and Sha'ul said to him, Blessed are you by the LORD: I have performed the mitzvah of the LORD.


Sha'ul said, Blessed be you of the LORD; for you have had compassion on me.


For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him go away unharmed? Therefore may the LORD reward you good for that which you have done to me this day.
