Avraham answered, *See now, I have taken it on myself to speak to the Lord, who am but dust and ashes.


He said, *Oh don't let the Lord be angry, and I will speak just once more. What if ten are found there?* He said, *I will not destroy it for the ten's sake.*


Then Yehudah came near to him, and said, *Oh, my lord, please let your servant speak a word in my lord's ears, and don't let your anger burn against your servant; for you are even as Par`oh.


Then said she, Please let the king remember the LORD your God, that the avenger of blood destroy not any more, lest they destroy my son. He said, As the LORD lives, there shall not one hair of your son fall to the earth.


The woman said, Why then have you devised such a thing against the people of God? for in speaking this word the king is as one who is guilty, in that the king does not bring home again his banished one.


He came near to her; and the woman said, Are you Yo'av? He answered, I am. Then she said to him, Hear the words of your handmaid. He answered, I do hear.


He said moreover, I have somewhat to tell you. She said, Say on.


Righteous are you, LORD, when I contend with you; yet would I reason the cause with you: why does the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they at ease who deal very treacherously?


Agrippa said to Sha'ul, *You may speak for yourself.* Then Sha'ul stretched out his hand, and made his defense.


She fell at his feet, and said, On me, my lord, on me be the iniquity; and please let your handmaid speak in your ears. Hear the words of your handmaid.
