These are the children of Tziv`on: Ayah and `Anah. This is `Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the donkeys of Tziv`on his father.

It happened, while they were in the way, that the news came to David, saying, Avshalom has slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.


Your handmaid had two sons, and they two strove together in the field, and there was none to part them, but the one struck the other, and killed him.


Avshalom happened to meet the servants of David. Avshalom was riding on his mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the sky and earth; and the mule that was under him went on.


The king said to them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Shlomo my son to ride on my own mule, and bring him down to Gichon:


So Tzadok the Kohen, and Natan the prophet, and Benayah the son of Yehoiada, and the Kereti and the Peleti, went down, and caused Shlomo to ride on king David's mule, and brought him to Gichon.
