A traveler came to the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man who had come to him, but took the poor man's lamb, and dressed it for the man who had come to him.*


The king said to the woman, Go to your house, and I will give charge concerning you.


But he turned and rebuked them, *You don't know of what kind of spirit you are.


Therefore you are without excuse, O man, whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself. For you who judge practice the same things.


For, as the LORD lives, who saves Yisra'el, though it be in Yonatan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people who answered him.


For as long as the son of Yishai lives on the earth, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die.


This thing isn't good that you have done. As the LORD lives, you are worthy to die, because you have not kept watch over your lord, the LORD's anointed. Now see where the king's spear is, and the jar of water that was at his head.
