He urged them greatly, and they came in with him, and entered into his house. He made them a feast, and baked matzah, and they ate.


Now Barzillai was a very aged man, even eighty years old: and he had provided the king with sustenance while he lay at Machanayim; for he was a very great man.


So they sought for a beautiful young lady throughout all the borders of Yisra'el, and found Avishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king.


When the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.


His possessions also were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the children of the east.


It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.


With persuasive words, she led him astray. With the flattering of her lips, she seduced him.


In like manner he also who got the two gained another two.


For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.


*The lord said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

When she and her household were immersed, she begged us, saying, *If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and stay.* So she persuaded us.


Their border was to Yizre`el, and Kesullot, and Shunem,


The old man said, Shalom be to you; howsoever let all your wants lie on me; only don't lodge in the street.


The Pelishtim gathered themselves together, and came and encamped in Shunem: and Sha'ul gathered all Yisra'el together, and they encamped in Gilboa.
