They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Ba`al from morning even until noon, saying, Ba`al, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any who answered. They leaped about the altar which was made.


It was so, when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the [evening] offering; but there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any who regarded.


When Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid on his bed.


But Gechazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared this Na`aman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: as the LORD lives, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.


Now Elisha had spoken to the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go you and your household, and sojourn wherever you can sojourn: for the LORD has called for a famine; and it shall also come on the land seven years.


so man lies down and doesn't rise. Until the heavens are no more, they shall not awake, nor be roused out of their sleep.


Son of man, these men have taken their idols into their heart, and put the stumbling block of their iniquity before their face: should I be inquired of at all by them?


Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.


When he had entered in, he said to them, *Why do you make an uproar and weep? The child is not dead, but is asleep.*


He said these things, and after that, he said to them, *Our friend, El'azar, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.*


Therefore he says, *Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Messiah will shine on you.*


Sha'ul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Pelishtim? will you deliver them into the hand of Yisra'el? But he didn't answer him that day.


When Sha'ul inquired of the LORD, the LORD didn't answer him, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
