He said, *Don't lay your hand on the boy, neither do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.*


Ach'av called `Ovadyah 1, who was over the household. (Now `Ovadyah 1 feared the LORD greatly:


A certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow by the word of the LORD, Please strike me. The man refused to strike him.


When the sons of the prophets who were at Yericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Eliyahu does rest on Elisha. They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.


The sons of the prophets who were at Beit-El came forth to Elisha, and said to him, *Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from your head today?* He said, *Yes, I know it; hold your shalom.*


The sons of the prophets who were at Yericho came near to Elisha, and said to him, *Do you know that the LORD will take away your master from your head today?* He answered, *Yes, I know it. Hold your shalom.*


Fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood over against them afar off: and they two stood by the Yarden.


Elisha came again to Gilgal. There was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said to his servant, Set on the great pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.


The man of God sent to the king of Yisra'el, saying, Beware that you not pass such a place; for there the Syrians are coming down.


and if the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain on the day of Shabbat to sell, that we would not buy of them on the Shabbat, or on a holy day; and that we would forego the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.


that I gave my brother Chanani, and Chananyah the governor of the castle, charge over Yerushalayim; for he was a faithful man, and feared God above many.


For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him.


But the LORD's loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him, his righteousness to children's children;


He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great.


The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.


The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.


This is the end of the matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his mitzvot; for this is the whole duty of man.


Though a sinner commits crimes a hundred times, and lives long, yet surely I know that it will be better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.


Thus says the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, with which I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were you sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.


At the end of seven years you shall let go every man his brother who is a Hebrew, who has been sold to you, and has served you six years, you shall let him go free from you: but your fathers didn't listen to me, neither inclined their ear.


after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him;


Then those who feared the LORD spoke one with another; and the LORD listened, and heard, and a book of memory was written before him, for those who feared the LORD, and who honored his name.


But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall.


But because he couldn't pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.


He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.


So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don't each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds.*


Brothers, children of the stock of Avraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.


For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.


Who wouldn't fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed.*


A voice came forth from the throne, saying, *Give praise to our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, the small and the great!*


Elimelekh, Na`omi 1's husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons.


Everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented, gathered themselves to him; and he became captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
