She went and sat down opposite him, a good way off, about a bow shot away. For she said, *Don't let me see the death of the child.* She sat over against him, and lifted up her voice, and wept.


For how will I go up to my father, if the boy isn't with me?--lest I see the evil that will come on my father.*


Therefore the LORD brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Ashur, who took Menasheh in chains, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Bavel.


Against him came up Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Bavel.


To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;


All your rulers fled away together. They were bound by the archers. All who were found by you were bound together. They fled far away.


Afterward, says the LORD, I will deliver Tzidkiyahu king of Yehudah, and his servants, and the people, even such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nevukhadnetzar 1 king of Bavel, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life: and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.


Thus says the LORD, Write you this man childless, a man who shall not prosper in his days; for no more shall a man of his seed prosper, sitting on the throne of David, and ruling in Yehudah.


and you shall not escape out of his hand, but shall surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and your eyes shall see the eyes of the king of Bavel, and he shall speak with you mouth to mouth, and you shall go to Bavel.


Then Tzidkiyahu the king sent, and fetched him: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the LORD? Yirmeyahu said, There is. He said also, You shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Bavel.


They shall bring out all your wives and your children to the Kasdim; and you shall not escape out of their hand, but shall be taken by the hand of the king of Bavel: and you shall cause this city to be burned with fire.


Her gates are sunk into the ground; he has destroyed and broken her bars: Her king and her princes are among the nations where the law is not; Yes, her prophets find no vision from the LORD.


Say, I am your sign: like as I have done, so shall it be done to them; they shall go into exile, into captivity.


The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do to them after their way, and according to their own judgments will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.


so that you shall be mad for the sight of your eyes which you shall see.


The LORD will bring you, and your king whom you shall set over you, to a nation that you have not known, you nor your fathers; and there shall you serve other gods, wood and stone.


The Pelishtim laid hold on him, and put out his eyes; and they brought him down to `Aza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he ground at the mill in the prison.
