and there were also sodomites in the land: they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD drove out before the children of Yisra'el.


He put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.


The remnant of the sodomites, that remained in the days of his father Asa, he put away out of the land.


Yoshiyahu took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Yisra'el, and made all who were found in Yisra'el to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. All his days they didn't depart from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.


You took of your garments, and made for yourselves high places decked with various colors, and played the prostitute on them: [the like things] shall not come, neither shall it be [so].


Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and see, there sat the women weeping for Tammuz.


I will visit on her the days of the Ba`alim, to which she burned incense, when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and went after her lovers, and forgot me,* says the LORD.


They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because its shade is good. Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, and your brides commit adultery.


I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin.


Yisra'el abode in Shittim; and the people began to play the prostitute with the daughters of Mo'av:


There shall be no prostitute of the daughters of Yisra'el, neither shall there be a sodomite of the sons of Yisra'el.
